The project is being built in one of Australia’s most popular tourist areas and in public areas, road corridors and easements shared with many other utilities and services. The extensive experience of Electrix in undertaking electricity infrastructure construction and maintenance services has been invaluable to the overall construction team and has assisted in ensuring the safety of the public and reduced disruption to the community.

Stage One will carry passengers along the 13 km light rail corridor commencing at the Gold Coast University Hospital and Griffith University and linking them to the fast growing commercial, retail and recreational centers of Southport, Surfers Paradise and Broadbeach.

The project has an overall value in excess of AUD $1.0 Billion and is scheduled for completion mid 2014.
